Breeder Advertising Terms
These additional terms apply whenever a breeder, cattery or independent seller submits, manages or promotes a listing through MCOON. They sit alongside the general Terms of Service and Advertising Standards.
Accurate identity
Advertisers must provide genuine contact and identity information and clearly state whether they act privately or as a business. Business and licensing status must not be concealed.
Truthful listings
Every material statement, photograph, price, age, location, health claim, registration claim and availability status must be accurate, current and capable of being supported.
Animal welfare
Kittens must be advertised and transferred in accordance with applicable welfare, microchipping, age, licensing and consumer-protection requirements.
Direct responsibility
The advertiser remains responsible for the animal, advert, enquiries, viewings, payments, contracts, records, aftercare and compliance with all applicable law.
Evidence must support important claims
MCOON may request original or independently verifiable records supporting identity, council licensing, pedigree registration, microchip status, vaccinations, veterinary checks, parentage and DNA or other health testing. A badge or structured field must not be used unless the underlying statement is accurate.
- Submit complete informationProvide the kitten’s genuine age, sex, colour, location, price, availability and relevant health, registration and parent information.
- Keep the listing currentUpdate or remove a listing promptly when details change, a kitten is reserved, or the animal is no longer available.
- Respond responsiblyCommunicate clearly, permit appropriate in-person checks, provide written terms and avoid pressure, misleading urgency or unsafe transfer arrangements.
Important points to understand
Images and ownership
Use current images of the advertised kitten unless clearly labelled otherwise. Do not use stolen, misleading, heavily altered or unrelated images. You must have the right to provide all material submitted.
Prices, deposits and guarantees
State the full advertised price and explain material conditions before payment. Deposit, refund, health-guarantee and collection terms should be provided clearly in writing and must not conflict with applicable consumer law.
Contact and data
Use buyer details only for responding to the enquiry and legitimate transaction administration. Do not add people to marketing lists without a valid basis and appropriate notice.
No prohibited conduct
No anonymous trading, duplicate spam listings, bait pricing, false scarcity, discriminatory content, prohibited animal sales, courier-only transactions presented as safe viewing, or attempts to bypass platform safety requirements.
Website policies cannot anticipate every circumstance and are not a substitute for advice about a specific legal dispute. MCOON should keep its business identity, retention periods, service providers and actual operational practices up to date in the published version.
